1. How many pieces are in a gross?

  • There are 144 pieces in a gross, regardless of the product.
  • For reference, 10 gross equals 1,440 pieces.

2. What is the difference between Crystal and Crystal AB?

  • Crystal (Crystal Clear) is completely colorless.
  • Crystal AB has the same base stone but comes with an Aurora Borealis (AB) coating, which reflects a rainbow of colors, mainly gold, blue, and pink.

Aurora Borealis (AB) enhances the stone’s sparkle by adding rainbow-like highlights. While it can make the stone brighter, it may sometimes change the original color slightly. AB stones are available in many colors and are often used to add extra shimmer to costumes.

3. What is the difference between Hotfix and Non-Hotfix Flat Back crystals?

Hotfix Crystals:

  • Have a pre-applied adhesive on the back.
  • When heat is applied (using a Hotfix Applicator Tool), the glue melts and bonds the crystal to your garment or surface.
  • Ideal for quick and durable application on dance costumes, clothing, and accessories.

Non-Hotfix Crystals:

  • Do not have adhesive pre-applied.
  • Require separate glue for attachment.
  • For dancewear and fabrics, we recommend Gem-Tac glue, which dries clear and is safe for costumes.
